SAS is a wearable remote physiological monitoring system developed in collaboration with DRDO to remotely monitor the health status of personnels/soldiers. It is critical to remotely monitor the health status of the personnel involved in order to improve individual survivability and provide increased situational awareness to commanders during the course of a mission. The device collects and transmits physiological signals such as ECG-derived Heart Rate, Respiratory Rate, Pulse Oximetry (SpO2), Skin Surface Temperature, R-R Interval Trends, Perfusion Index, Activity Monitoring, Perfusion Index Trends, and Triage Indicator from sensors embedded in the soldiers’ textile belt.
